Unfortunately, at the time of writing this trip took place over 6 months ago and I failed to accurately record the locations of the works and the artisit names. Ive done my best to note the rough location of the works and will make sure to record artist names in the future.
The city center and old town of Lisbon are well know for the vibrant street art that covers alot of the area. The combination of old architecture and classical style provides a beautiful backdrop to the newer layer of street art in the area. The area is very touristy and you can find many walking tours of the major street art attractions.
About 2 hours walk from the city center you can find the Panorâmico de Monsanto in the Parque Florestal de Monsanto. The abandoned luxury restaraunt now homes a massive collection of clandestine street art on its massive concrete interior. The building is abandoned and exposed to the elements.
Though most of the building is easily accessible, the upper levels have been sealed off and some creative acrobatics are required to reach the more difficult spots in the building. Including the panoramic view of the whole of Lisbon city from the very top floor.
